Government urged to enforce the copy right law
Government has been urged to strictly enforce the copy right law if artist are to benefit from their hard work.
Early this year, parliament passed the Copyright Act with the main aim of safe guarding interests of artists from opportunists.
Now according to Judith Babirye the Woman Member of Parliament for Buikwe District who is also a renowned gospel artist, since the passing of law, not much has been achieved in protecting the interests of artists.
She adds that government must have goodwill towards the works of artists since this has now turned out to be a source of employment to many people especially youth.
