Mumps could lead to impotence

Did you know that mumps could lead to impotence?

Many people suffer from mumps as children and parents may have at one time had their children affected by this infectious condition.

Mumps are a very contagious viral illness that usually makes a child have a feverĀ and swollen salivary glands in the mouth and near the ear.

It may also affect the central nervous system.

Dr .Charles Kasozi, a general doctor at Mulago hospital, warns that if a male child is frequently affected by mumps it may result into impotence.

Dr. Kasozi explains that this happens once the mumps go down to the lower part of the body and affect the reproductive system.
