Patrick Kaddu makes switch to Moroccan side as Miya joins Turkish team

KCCA FC’s Patrick Kaddu has joined the ranks of other players who have forced moves for greener pastures after the AFCON tournament in Egypt. The striker whose goal guided Uganda to the 2019 Afcon finals qualification was last evening announced officially as player for Moroccan side, Renaissance Sportive Berkane. Kaddu, famously known for his monkey style dance becomes the third player from the Uganda Premier League giants to move abroad for greener pastures in the current transfer window. Timothy Awany has since joined Ashdod in Israel while  Allan Kyambadde has joined El Gouna in Egypt. Uganda’s Under 15 leaves for Eritrea

By Ritah Kemigisa. The National U-15 football team has this morning left for Eritrea ahead of the CECAFA tournament in Asmara. The tournament that has attracted Eleven (11) National junior teams is designed for players under the age of 15 years kicks off on Saturday 17th August and ends on 1st September. The Ugandan contingent has 20 players. After yesterday’s training session the team head coach Jackson Magera said his team is ready to face the opponents in the tournament. He says they have had a good period of training with no injuries adding that the tournament is good for the young players to know the kind of stages to go through when playing football. Museveni flags off Uganda sports teams

President Museveni has emphasized the need for sports men and women to maintain fitness, discipline as well as building a character of resilience if they are to succeed in their endeavors. The president was flagging off over 800 Ugandan athletes who will represent the country in the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools’ Games scheduled to take place from 15th to 25th August in Arusha, Tanzania During the ceremony that took place at State House in Entebbe, the president urged them to work together to achieve much in what they do. KCCA FC hailed for winning CECAFA Kagame cup

By Prossy Kisakye. Kampala capital city authority council meeting Chaired by the Lord Mayor of Kampala Erias lukwago have congratulated KCCA FC football team for winning the CECAFA Kagame CUP. KCCA FC were crowned champions after they defeated Tanzanian giants Azam FC 1-0. This was KCCA’s second title since 1978 and the first title for Uganda since 2006 when Police FC last won the championship. The Lord Mayor Erias lukwago has asked the executive director of the authority to prepare an appreciation token for the team for glory they have brought to the authority and Uganda at large. KCCA walked away with a cash prize of $30,000 (sh112m) courtesy of President Paul Kagame’s support towards the competition
