Malaika signs out of KFM

By Joan Salmon. Malaika Nnyanzi, a co-presenter of the D’Mighty Breakfast show on KFM is presenting for the last time today. Malaika has been with KFM for two years, since 2017 and has co-presented with Brian Mulondo. Reminiscing about starting the show, Malaika says when she met Mulondo she felt he was “so serious and professional. On the other hand, he also saw me as a proud person. But in that meeting, he cracked my ribs and it was amazing. By Paul Adude. ENTEBBE: Over the weekend hundreds of fans of 933 KFM thronged one of Entebbe’s favorite night Clubs, Knight Riders for the monthly end of month KFM listeners party. The show started off with performances from Entebbe’s upcoming  artistes that included Ruddy Face, Billionaire, and African Messiah. They entertained the revelers before the night’s surprise guest artiste, dance-hall sensation Bennie Gunter stepped on stage at about 1 am and lit the night up with hits like Commando, Sekkle Down, Watto and many other songs to the delight of the fans. Fresh Kid Meets Children Affairs Minister

By Ivan Ssenabulya. The Children Affairs Minister Owek Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi has this morning met the rising Pop star Patrick Ssenyonjo commonly known as Fresh Kid. The meeting at the minister’s office in Kampala was also attended by the singer’s management. Nakiwala Kiyingi has underscored the need for education for the young star and pledged support the young star’s education and music career. Child activists speak out on Fresh Kid

By Ritah Kemigisa Child activists have accused the management of young pop star Patrick Senyonjo popularly known as Fresh Kid of exploiting the young star. Many people including the minister of state for youth and child affairs Nakiwala Kiyingi have since asked the young star to stop singing and go to school. The Director Child protection and dwelling places Maureen Muwonge says much as Fresh kid is young in nature, the things he has been exposed to and the words in his songs are questionable. Minister Nakiwala cautions Fresh Kids parents

By Benjamin Jumbe. The minister of state for children and youth affairs has spoken out on concerns raised over the latest youngest singer in Uganda Fresh Kid whose real name is Patrick Ssenyonjo. It follows concerns raised following footage of the 7 year old performing at a show. Nakiwala Kiyingi condemned use of children for profit arguing that the law restricts children below 18 years from being used for any financial benefits. She said government is to investigate and if found not to be in school, his parents are to be dealt with accordingly.
