Kampala Parents P/S sets tough conditions for Fresh Kid

By Damalie Mukhaye.  Kampala Parents Primary School has offered a scholarship to the young star Patrick Ssenyongo, commonly known as Fresh Kid but with conditions for his parents and promoters. Speaking at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at the school in Kampala, the director Daphine Kato said one of the conditions is that Fresh Kid had to attend classes regularly and his parents have to ensure this is fulfilled. She also asked the “Bambi” young singer’s parents to ensure they visit him at school to regularly check on his academic progress to avoid penalties. More Musicians show interest to join politics come 2021

The current one is Sadat Mukiibi, commonly known by his stage name Agananga Khalifah who has publicly announced his intentions to contest for Rubaga East MP. Gender ministry agrees to sign MOU with Fresh Kid

The Ministry of Gender, labour and social development has agreed with Patrick Ssenyonjo alias Fresh Kid’s team  to draft a Memorandum of Understanding that will safeguard the young star’s interests. This was reached during a meeting held with the ministry’s permanent secretary Pius Bigirimana yesterday. Bigirimana said this is aimed at specifying the sharing of earnings from performances, assurance to continue with school, avoid exploitation among others. In the meeting attended by Fresh Kid’s parents Paul Mutabazi, Madrine Namata and his manager, it was agreed that the MoU will be reviewed before the official signing. Events promoters demand Gov’t communication on fate of Bobi’s concerts

By Juliet Nalwooga. Ugandan Events promoters have demanded for an official communication from police regarding the fate of Bobi Wine’s Easter Music concerts. Addressing journalists in kamyokya, one of the Music promoters Abby Musinguzi commonly known as Abitex said many promoters lose millions of money when music concerts for Bobi Wine who is the Kyadondo East Mp are cancelled or foiled. Abitex revealed that a letter was written to police a month ago about the musician turned legislator’s Kyarenga music concerts during the Easter weekend but no response has been made from them. Bobi Wine urges fellow artists not to betray their fans

Addressing a press briefing in Kamwokya, Kyadondo East Legislator aka bobi wine has appealed to Uganda artists to unite and genuinely represent the ideas of their fans if they are to effect any positive change. Kyagulanyi maintained that as artists they are not government employees and as such should put aside their differences and stand in unity for the good of the Ugandans who pay their bills.
