Gender ministry agrees to sign MOU with Fresh Kid

The Ministry of Gender, labour and social development has agreed with Patrick Ssenyonjo alias Fresh Kid’s team  to draft a Memorandum of Understanding that will safeguard the young star’s interests. This was reached during a meeting held with the ministry’s permanent secretary Pius Bigirimana yesterday. Bigirimana said this is aimed at specifying the sharing of earnings from performances, assurance to continue with school, avoid exploitation among others. In the meeting attended by Fresh Kid’s parents Paul Mutabazi, Madrine Namata and his manager, it was agreed that the MoU will be reviewed before the official signing. Events promoters demand Gov’t communication on fate of Bobi’s concerts

By Juliet Nalwooga. Ugandan Events promoters have demanded for an official communication from police regarding the fate of Bobi Wine’s Easter Music concerts. Addressing journalists in kamyokya, one of the Music promoters Abby Musinguzi commonly known as Abitex said many promoters lose millions of money when music concerts for Bobi Wine who is the Kyadondo East Mp are cancelled or foiled. Abitex revealed that a letter was written to police a month ago about the musician turned legislator’s Kyarenga music concerts during the Easter weekend but no response has been made from them. Police has since last year blocked many Bobi Wine’s concerts on grounds that they were not cleared by the police chief according to Public Order Management Act. …

Bobi Wine urges fellow artists not to betray their fans

Addressing a press briefing in Kamwokya, Kyadondo East Legislator aka bobi wine has appealed to Uganda artists to unite and genuinely represent the ideas of their fans if they are to effect any positive change. Kyagulanyi maintained that as artists they are not government employees and as such should put aside their differences and stand in unity for the good of the Ugandans who pay their bills. He said that often Ugandans have been betrayed by artists who look for short turn cash from government. Malaika signs out of KFM

Malaika has been with KFM for two years, since 2017 and has co-presented with Brian Mulondo. Reminiscing about starting the show, Malaika says when she met Mulondo she felt he was “so serious and professional. On the other hand, he also saw me as a proud person. But in that meeting, he cracked my ribs and it was amazing. By Paul Adude. ENTEBBE: Over the weekend hundreds of fans of 933 KFM thronged one of Entebbe’s favorite night Clubs, Knight Riders for the monthly end of month KFM listeners party. The show started off with performances from Entebbe’s upcoming  artistes that included Ruddy Face, Billionaire, and African Messiah. They entertained the revelers before the night’s surprise guest artiste, dance-hall sensation Bennie Gunter stepped on stage at about 1 am and lit the night up with hits like Commando, Sekkle Down, Watto and many other songs to the delight of the fans.
