All structures erected illegally in the city are to be demolished or closed in the next two days.
Kampala Capital City Authority(KCCA) has given owners of such structures two days to comply with the construction regulation plan.
According to KCCA spokesperson Peter Kaujju, the most affected are the arcade owners, who converted parking spaces into shops.
The KCCA director of physical planning, Moses Atwine Kanuniira during a sensitization meeting held yesterday at KCCA said a large number of developers had ignored the construction regulations despite warnings from the city authority.
Under the building regulations, developers are expected to submit their construction plans to KCCA for approval before work begins.
