Government Argued to Develop Contemporary Law on Markets

Government has been argued develop and enact strong and contemporary law on markets.

Speaking to policy analyst at institute for Social Transformation Ritah Atukwase says this will provide a one stop reference law on Markets prevent confusion on which law is applicable and erase legal excuses that can be exploited for abuse to the detriment of market vendors.

Atukwase adds that majority of stakeholdermostly women working in the markets have specific needs that the legal and policy framework should recognize like providing safe spaces for women who have to bring their children to the market place.
