Briefing journalists on the Authority’s annual revenue performance Commissioner General Doris Akol said while the body was able to collect more than the target in revenue from the Mobile money tax, It fell short in terms of OTT collections She says out of the target of 284 billion shillings only 49. 5 Billion shillings was collected from the OTT tax. The talks between the people’s government led by the former forum for democratic change Presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye and people Power led by Robert kyagulanyi are under way. FDC national chairman Waswa Birigwa says that the two have so far met twice and they are yet to come to a final conclusion ahead of 2021 general elections. He says that as the party,they tasked Besigye to engage in talks with people Power on how to cooperate in overthrowing the current government asserting that they are ready to work with any force over the same. He however dismissed media reports circulating that people Power has endorsed Besigye as their Presidential candidate come 2021.

Statics from the ministry of health show that there is an increasing trend of obesity and associated non-communicable disease among the population with at least one in every 4 Ugandan being obese. Speaking at the National second Physical Activity day at Kololo airstrip President Museveni, said that if the country strives to create behavior change among the people, they will be able to prevent some diseases which have killed many. It is from this that he has appealed to all Ugandans to eat foods free of fat and also no regular checkups plus make exercise a daily routine.

The health minister in charge of General Duties Sarah Opendi has asked the Kampala capital city authority to create enough walkways in the city to enable city dwellers do physical exercises without interruption from motorists. Speaking at the National second Physical Activity day at Kololo airstrip, Opendi said that whereas people in rural areas have enough space to exercise, their counter parts in the city center are always interrupted by motorists. It is from this that she has asked the city authority to consider creating walkways for the city dwellers.
By Damali Mukhaye. The opposition Forum for Democratic Change has suspended its nationwide tours over alleged police brutality. The FDC had last weekend resumed its nationwide campaigns in West Nile region, however, all their meetings were blocked by police. The party also earlier boycotted the Inter-party Organisation for Dialogue summit citing police brutality meted against its members. Now the party president Patrick Amuriat tells KFM that they cannot continue with their meetings under such circumstances. He says they are yet to meet to forge away forward.
